Day by Day Armageddon

“If we can just hold them off a little longer” says the unnamed main character as swarms of viscous bleed thirsty zombies were on the other side of the door. This story, told in first person journal format, kicks off with the narrator (an unnamed U.S. Naval officer) making a New Year’s resolution to keep a journal. As the days progress, he comments on his life and various problems he’s noticing in the news, mostly about a mysterious disease outbreak in China. His life gets even worse when he finds out that some signs of the outbreak have been spotted in Maryland. He is torn between joining his fellow officers at a base camp and staying at home by himself. He chooses isolation. Read more »

REASONABLE DOUBT book review by Staycia Y

“Mark Anthony creates outstanding characters that leave you on the edge of your seat.”

The movie I saw is called Reasonable Doubt  by Mark Anthony. The main characters are Katrina Easely, Snipes, Alexis, Warrant, Candace, and Chase and the parents of Katrina Easley.  Some of the reasons why I think people should read this book is because it shows you how people should be careful when it comes to who they pick in life. And the fast life is not what it is. Some times you have to choose what you want in life and don’t just go for the looks. This book has a great main character, violent scenes, and language I can relate to. Read more »

“Right now, the world needs a hero”. Ronnie Barnhardt (Seth Rogan) is a Bi-Polar mall cop. He is head of security at Forest Ridge Mall. Ronnie Barnhardt secretly wants to become a police officer. When a pervert runs through the mall parking lot flashing women, Ronnie looks at it as his chance to prove himself worthy. Detective Harrison (Ray Liotta) comes to Forest Ridge mall to investigate the case. I think this movie is so great because it shows real life emotions and situations and doesn’t put up a front about it. I appreciate Ronnie Barnhardt’s actions in this movie. This movie was directed by Jody Hill. Observe and report has a great cast including: Seth Rogan, Ray Liotta, Michael Pena and Anna Faris. Read more »
